Edo period (1615-1868), circa 1660-80Painted in 'Kraak' style, the central well decorated with a vase of flowering peony on a terrace, surrounded by a border of radiating wide and narrow panels enclosing repeated designs of stylised flowering plants, auspicious Buddhist symbols and a knot motif; the underside undecorated. 7.7cm x 42.1cm (3in x 16 5/8in).
