A ceramic jar with bulbous body and flat base, slightly waited neck, integral moulded suspension rings to the equator with taotie loop; bands of painted decoration including lozenges and spirals. 2.6 kg, 32.5cm (12 3/4"). From a west country collection in the 1990s; previously in a Hong Kong collection. Fine condition.
