A pair of Sino-Tibetan foo lions with heavenly riders, 18th centuryThe figures wrought in several pieces in hammered copper foil with heavy fire gilding and remnants of coloured paint. The foo lions rampant with gaping maws, both wearing a collar with a bell attached. A crowned rider on each of their backs, holding a small bowl in their right hands and presenting a vajra or a kartika with their left hands.
