body is covered in a brilliant green glaze which pools between the ribs, the interior glazed amber, and the base and underside of cover unglazed, 12cm high

Note: The form is largely influenced by Han bronze prototypes, though it has also been suggested that the ribs serve to imitate turned wood. Vessels of this form are not uncommon, but it is extremely rare to find an example with its original cover. A similar example sold at Christie's, New York, 25th September 2020, Lot 1805
