Description South Germany. Presumably 18th century.
Carved boxwood. Gilt and partially silver-plated bronze. Vaulted and pierced pedestal with acanthus leaf decoration. The baptism of Christ in the
centre of the basin wall, angels floating on the sides. At the top a praying nun above a
crucifixion group. Height 18,7cm.
