Rare old Tianhuang soapstone seal attributed to Wu Changshuo (1844-1927), one of the most important artists in the late Qing Dynasty, the seal decorated with a lion-form finial, stone of "gold wrapping silver" type with overall a translucent mellow gold tone and a whitish tinge at lower front, good condition with minor age wear, a small white fissure to lion's nose, a few light reddish fissures to the sides of the seal base, 0.91" (2.31 cm) high, 0.24 oz(6.64 g)
