Provenance From a collector in Bethesda, Maryland, by descent from his father, who lived overseas in China (Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei) for 25 years and served as an executive for Air America, associated with the Flying Tigers and Civil Air Transport (CAT). He acquired much of his collection during this period and continued collecting from Sotheby‘s Park Bernet after 1972 when he returned to the United States.
