A Chinese cylindrical vase, late 19th century, decorated with birds on branches and character marks and with four character mark to base. Height 29.5 cm, diameter 12.5 cm, raised on a carved wooden stand (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The vase has one small rim chip. There are no further chips, no cracks and no restoration. The gilding to the top rim is rubbed. There are no significant scratches or marks to the body. The wooden stand is all complete but does have a stress fracture to the base.
