hexagonal cover decorated in gilt with figures on a terrace to one side and two figures in a hilly landscape to the other, enclosing pierced gilt panels of figures beneath a balustrade on scroll base and six temple dog supports with hexagonal plinth, 34cm wide x 26cm high (closed) Condition: General light scuffing to edges and corners of cover, plus typical minor flaking to lacquer work. Interior has fading to ink characters on roof of pavilion. Temple dog supports are loose but pivot in place. **General condition consistent with age.
