This porcelain and ormolu mounted vase, from the Canton region of China, is of slender baluster form with fluted neck and is painted with panels of courtly figures, butterflies and exotic birds amongst foliage. A gilt dragon is entwined around the neck of the vase, which is supported by an openwork base.
