This large antique porcelain plate is hand painted to the centre with a basket of flowers, surrounded by a decorated rim of famille verte-imari patterns of butterfly vignettes, ribboned elements and extended floral sprays. It dates form the Chinese Kangxi (1662-1722) period, which was an important period in the revival of Chinese porcelain production, reopening the Imperial factories and introducing new designs and glazing technologies.
