A 19th century Imari oil lamp, with metal mounts and ceramic reservoir. Height including burner 40 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The burner mechanism seems to adjust correctly. The reservoir has a chip to the bottom edge of the top lip where it joins the main body of the vase. This is visible when seated against the brass top. It is +/- 1.5 mm high and 6 mm long. The ceramic vase body is in good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. We can see no cracks or chips. All brasswork is present and in generally good order with only minor tarnished areas.
