Of circular form, decorated in shades of underglaze blue with a scene of the Eight Daoist Immortals: Li Tiegui carrying a gourd from which magic vapours rise; Han Xiangzi playing a flute, Lan Ciahe carrying a flower basket; Cao Guo Qiu holding castanets; Lu Dongbin depicted with a sword across his back conversing with He Xiangu; Zhang Guo Lao with a bamboo drum and sticks stands behind Zhongli Quan bearing peaches, all gathering on a riverbank as the Star God, Shoulao, holding a ruyi-sceptre, sits beneath a pine tree on the opposite bank beside a recumbent deer, the rim with a brown wash, the base glazed and with the four-character mark yu tang jia qi (‘beautiful vessel for the Jade Hall’), within a double circle in underglaze blue.
