Chinese Qing Dynasty Lapis Lazuli double gourd and stand inlaid with stonework scenery. Smooth, Fine Lapis-Lazuli stone elaborately carved pattern of Fu-bats, with cloud and rolling thunder surrounding the two depictions. The upper portrayal details two musicians playing the gong and cymbals amongst the evergreen tree, with Fu-bats swooping overhead. Fu-bats, ever-green, and the double gourd all symbolize longevity. Lower delineation shows a flourishing garden with a vessel bearing the Lingzhi fungus, ruyi scepter, lotus flower, and fan. Also depicted, is a figure holding a peach branch burgeoning fruit, with another figure meandering after him amongst cloud form and swooping Fu-bat. Both the Lingzhi fungus and peach resemble immortality to which Daoist's consider them both sacred victuals. Lapis-Lazuli double gourd sits on hand carved wooden pedestal. Mark on base, carved four gilt script -KaiShu- characters, Made in The Years of Qianlong Reign Period
