Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty period, Zijin glazed meiping jars. The porcelain shaped into a traditional Meiping form, large, thick and tall potted, wide body on shoulder, slender neck easing to form narrow opening, with emerging slight flaring ring mouth rim, raised on round foot base, with slight concave. All reserved in attractive monochrome Zijin glaze, the very dark brownish bronze color, which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white under glaze. The dark brownish glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
