Start from here, Jullias love to collect porcelains and many other antiques, and many year later they came back to Marietta, Georgia.
Majestic, Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Blue & white morning glory bowl on stand. The finest Chinese porcelain potted with a shallow body, slight deep, thick and bulbous body, with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward flaring mouth rim, raised on a small round, with slight concave footing. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white under glazed base color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color, depicted of abundant lotus blossoms interspersed with scrolling interlocking tendril and foliage, enclosed with scrolling ruyi and repeating key fret, covered the exterior and the interior surface. Blue and white porcelain in Chinese it is called Qing Hua Ci. It is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Yuan Dynasty. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha.
