Start from here, Jullias love to collect porcelains and many other antiques, and many year later they came back to Marietta, Georgia.
Great, Chinese Qing Dynasty period, famille Jaune porcelain carving reward vase. Fine porcelain potted in reward shape vase, thick and tall globular lower body, tapered gracefully toward straight cylindrical neck, and slight flaring mouth rim, raised on a short small round foot base with slight concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in famille jaune design color. Famille Jaune meaning the yellow family. Meticulous finish sgrafitto snarling huge imperial five claws dragon careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves in a yellow color dragon squama to chasing flaming pearl amidst flames and vapors, carving beneath the attractive egg-yolk-yellow monochrome glazed covers the delicate clay, showing silky smooth sheen and conforming the dragon design. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese porcelain wares, with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, and the carving. Without overlap the outlines of the design, clear, subtle, distinct, and the shape is uniformly proportioned.
Mark on base, a six under glazed blue seal script characters reign mark, Made in The Years of Yongzheng Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
