Chinese Qing Dynasty period, Famille Jaune monochrome meiping jar. The porcelain shaped into a traditional Meiping form, large, thick and tall potted, wide body on shoulder, slender neck easing to form narrow opening, with emerging slight flaring ring mouth rim, raised on round foot base, with slight concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in masterfully covered in famille jaune design color. Famille Jaune meaning the yellow family. This is a variant of the famille verte enamel palette in which the ground is covered with yellow enamel. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
