Potted in moon vase, thick and tall, with bulbous lower region, moon belly, sweeping up into a slender neckline and straight mouth rim, emerge two archaic ruyi handles flanked from neck to the shoulder rim, create majestic handles, raised on short rectangle foot base with slight concave footing. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in iron red color under glazed base color which contrast against the blue fine color. Red is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. The red color of the packet symbolizes good luck, symbolizes good fortune and joy and Blue stands for healing, trust and long life. Depicted of peony flower blooms and fresh foliage, banded with arrays of tropical leaves patterns on the shoulder. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark grayish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
