A pair of miniature Kinkozan satsuma vases, circa 1880, of slender oviform, the rim painted with karakusa style scrolls above the short neck with roundels and diapered shoulder, each with finely painted panels of children at play and verso a fisherman casting out a net and a fisherman drying his nets, both before a mountainous landscape, framed by a hundred butterflies above a diaper panel and scroll base, gilt Kinkozan mark, 7.6cmCondition report: One vase with a small 3mm fine crack to the interior of the rim and a small amount of gilding loss on the rim, otherwise in good order. The other vase with no obvious faults visible.
