The tusks with carved inscription reads as 'Naga Hills', '18th BNI' with the silver mount finely engraved with the initials 'EG' and dated '1890'. '18th BNI' stands for the 18th Regiment of the Bengal Native Infantry being one of the major infantry battalions of the British East India Company.
