Description China, around 1900. Dehua porcelain, also called Blanc de Chine. H. 20.5 cm. "Dehua porcelain", better known in the West as "Blanc de Chine", is a type of white Chinese porcelain made in Dehua, Fujian Province. It has been made since the Ming Dynasty.
Provenance In an important private collection in Munich since 1900. Dr. Joseph August Johann Alexander Ambros 1862 Pullendorf - 1920 Munich. Medical officer with the 5th Baden Infantry Regiment No. 113 in Freiburg; then Batallion Doctor of the 1st Battalion of the 1st East Asian Infantry Regiment of the East Asian Occupation Brigade (China).
