Description A pair of 19th century Chinese 'Wu Shuang Pu' famille rose baluster vases, Daoguang period (1821-1850) each decorated with two of the forty characters,?Hu Mulan and Fu Sheng, from the Wu Shuang Pu (Table of Peerless Heroes) painted in bright polychrome enamels accompanied by their respective titles and calligraphic inscriptions in black enamel below flared necks with gilded rims and turquoise glazed interiors, late Qing dynasty, 24 cm high, c/w a pair or carved hardwood circular stands, 27 cm high o/a?? The Wu Shuang Pu is a book of woodblock prints depicting 40 imagined heroes and heroins from the Han Dynasty to the Song Dynasty (3rd century BC to 13th century AD) by Jin Guliang, originally published in 1694
