Description A Chinese ogee-shaped doucai bowl, painted in underglaze blue and polychrome enamels, the interior with a central medallion formed from interlinking ruyi-heads surrounded by six stylised lingzhi motifs with gilt highlights, the exterior with the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism (Bajixiang) over continuous flowering lotus scroll and a band of upright lappets, the base bearing a six character Qianlong (1736-95) seal mark, but not of the period, 22 cm diameter
