Description American, late 19th century. Victorian era regulator clock having a walnut case with carved arched pediment, fluted pilasters flanking the glazed door, and painted porcelain dial. Image of the Wright brothers bicycle shop to the back.Provenance: From a private collection, Marietta, GA; acquired from Great Gatsby's Auction Gallery circa 2005, purportedly from the Collection of Orville Wright (According to GGAG, they sold a handful of items for an elderly gentleman who, inhis youth, did odd jobs for the Wright Brothers. As partial payment for his services, the man allegedly received a few accessories that the Wrights did not want. This clock was among them.). Approx. h. 38.5", w. 15", d. 6.75".
