Rare second variation percussion turret rifle, with browned octagonal barrel, walnut stock, hinged action pierced on each side, vertical turret cylinder, and side hammer cockedby the under-lever, serpentine loading-lever. Serial number 604 having matching numbers throughout. Marked / stamped stamped "Address P.W. Porter New-York' and 'P.W. Porters Patent. 1851". Approx. total l. 46", l. 26" (barrel). 12mmopening
Condition Report Barrel still has dark patina, minor faint pitting and stock has some wear commensurate with scratches and pressure dents. Mechanically needs work as the cylinder does not rotate with cocking.
