Also known as the Preserver, he is usually depicted with blue skin and four arms. Here he is dressed in a short striped dhoti with loose ends hanging down on the sides. His legs are adorned with anklets and foot bracelets, his arms with armlets and bracelets, the torso encircled by the sacred thread. His four arms are lifted, two at the back are holding the conch shell and the discus. The other hands are lifted as if holding his instrument the flute. His face is gentle, a conical high headdress on the head.
