One hand is touching the earth, the other is placed in the lap with palm facing to the sky, bhumipharsa mudra. The Buddha's slender figure is dressed in a simple robe draped over the left shoulder and fanning out decoratively underneath the ankles. The face is comparably round with slender facial features, small smiling lips, a thin nose and downcast eyes. Tight small curls cover the head and ushnisha topped by a jewel finial. Elongated earlobes frame the face.
