Bronze with turqouise inlays Tibet , revival style, 18th century Dimensions: Height 34 cm Weight: 4255 grams A beautiful and very human-looking depiction of a Tara Goddess seated with one knee drawn to the chest, the other leg bent and foot placed behind the ankle. The Goddess is supporting her upper body by her right hand placed on the ground beside her. Her left hand is resting on her left thigh with thumb and index finger touching, index and middle finger are bent. Her upper body is turned to the left. She is dressed in an almost translucent long dhoti with floral pattern, fastened around the waist with a long band drooping over her leg. Her armlets and necklace and tiara are highlighted with turqouise stone inlay. Her face has elegant features with a slender nose and a gentle smile. The tiara is especially opulent.
