Bronze with inlays Kashmir, 7th to 8th century Dimensions: Height 31 cm Weight: 5400 grams Bodhisattva seated on a square base with his right ankle resting on his left thigh. The left hand is placed on the waist. The right elbow is placed on the right thigh, the hand is lifted towards the sky with slightly bent fingers, as if about to rest his right cheek in it, thinking. The head is tilted to his right side and the expression is calm, lost in thought. The eyes are slightly closed and have a dreamy look, with silver inlay. The Bodhisattva is dressed in a simple garment with a decorative brim, the bottom fanning out and drooping over the seat. A long necklace adorns the chest. The head is decorated with a high tiara with a seated Amithaba effigy. The back of the statue is kept simple, the open hair is falling on the shoulder.
