A global entrepreneur collecting many highly collectible items during his intercontinental travels. These items were passed to his only son John A Shook (1926-2019) of Georgia, private collectors, WWII Veterans, Realtors, Business entrepreneur. The vessel is of archaic bronze form, with its rectangular body raised on one aquare leg. Each side is carved in shallow relief with a taotie mask on a ground of incised key frets, separated by notched flanges, with two handles on either side. The cover is similarly carved with taotie design, surmounted by a plain stepped finial. The stone is of a pale tone.
