China, Kangxi period (1662-1722). Consisting of two small hexagonal jars with applied handles and a matching double hexagonal holder with handle. All decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze iron-red and gold with floral compositions and landscape reserves.
Condition: With manufacturing flaws and fritting to edges, otherwise good condition. Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1970 and has remained in the family ever since.
