Thailand, 1732-1932. Seated in dhyanasana on an elaborate stepped base, the hands in bhumisparsamudra, richly adorned in beaded jewelry, the face showing a meditative expression with downcast eyes and arched eyebrows, flanked by long earlobes, the hair in tight curls surmounted by a high crown.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and casting flaws, extensive wear to gilt, small nicks and light scratches here and there. Provenance: Ex-Collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
