Description A pair of Chinese export, famille rose porcelain tankards dating from the 18th century. The first tankard features a white ground with raised and incised floral patterns, over-painted with flowers and insects. On one side is a domestic scene with children wrestling under a table. The second tankard features a scene of royal officials and attendants in a garden. The scene spans the whole body of the tankard. Dimensions: 6 3/8 inches tall X 4 1/2 inches diameter; 16.2 cm tall X 11.4 cm diameter. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report Tankard with domestic scene has restoration to its handle. Tankard with garden scene has cracks to its rim, chips to its rim and handle, and an unstable base.
