Bronze gilded Buddha statues of Ming Dynasty in China .This three-dimensional round sculpture of the Lotus Guanyin is in a cross-legged position, with a plump face, correct features and long earlobes. There are two lotus flowers on both arms. The overall shape is natural and beautiful, which shows the calmness and solemnity of Guanyin. Guanyin is made of copper, with proper shape, gilded body, elegant color, full of ancient flavor, excellent appearance, the patina is mellow, and the texture is thick. Very rare good item.
PROVENANCE:
From The Collection of David Garrison (July 18, 1948-) Morehead City, NC. He joined the Air Force in July 1968. He did his basic training in San Antonio, Texas, and then went to technical school at Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois. In 1971, he married the love of his life, Patty Madsen. The family traveled with him as he fulfilled his duties with the Air Force. In 1984, they moved to Bethany beach,?Deleware where he resided for the rest of his life. David obtained an Associate's Degree through the Community College of the Air Force. During his career in the Air Force, he achieved the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He retired from the Air Force in 1993 after 26 years of service. Not one to slow down, he started a new career as a contractor at FAA, then Tinker Air Force Base. His final retirement was in January of 2016.
