ZIZAI GUANYIN FIGURE OF THE BUDDHA STATUE
Bronze gilded Buddha statues of Ming Dynasty in China .This statue of Guanyin sits in single lotus position on a double lotus throne, with on leg crossing and one leg dropping to a small lotus base. Its blue hair is gathered into a topknot and the hair textures are carved clear and exquisite. Two upright lotus stands on the throne and to the both side of Guanyin.
PROVENANCE:
From The Collection of David Garrison (July 18, 1948-) Morehead City, NC. He joined the Air Force in July 1968. He did his basic training in San Antonio, Texas, and then went to technical school at Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois. In 1971, he married the love of his life, Patty Madsen. The family traveled with him as he fulfilled his duties with the Air Force. In 1984, they moved to Bethany beach,?Deleware where he resided for the rest of his life. David obtained an Associate's Degree through the Community College of the Air Force. During his career in the Air Force, he achieved the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He retired from the Air Force in 1993 after 26 years of service. Not one to slow down, he started a new career as a contractor at FAA, then Tinker Air Force Base. His final retirement was in January of 2016.
