Description A carved Chinese lacquer and wood sitting Guanyin, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Comes with a red lacquer wood stand. Gilt throughout the whole body with red brown lacquer; serene face; sitting on the base with one leg crossed; 5 lotus beneath his feet. X-ray films contained. 21 1/2" x 11 1/4" x 8 1/4". Condition: Some cracking and areas of lacquer loss. Provenance: From the collector from St. Peterborough, NH.
