Unsigned. H: 4 1/4". ++ Netsuke of an Oni seated on a clam. Possibly signed Gyokuzan. 19th/ 20th century. H: 1 5/8". Condition: Light wear to surface. Man with staff has cracks to surface. Provenance: Netsuke of the chestnut and mushroom purchased from the Nihon Token, London, UK October 1987. From the estate of a private collector, Potomac, Maryland.
