Meiji Period (1868-1912).++ The shorter scholar holding a flute with both hands . 8" x 2 3/4". ++ The taller scholar holding a gourd with right hand, having an inro hanging on his belt. A small carved horse next to right foot. 10 1/4" x 3 1/4". Carved red seal signature on bottom "Shuzan".
