Description A GROUP OF FOUR JAPANESE STUDIO POTTERY WARES, GUMP'S, MID/LATE 20TH CENTURY, comprising a larger dished charger with glossy black glaze and brown and white border glazes, raised on a circular foot, verso stickers, "Specially Made for Gumps, Made in Japan," diameter: 12 3/8"; and three matte glaze Japanese art pottery tea bowls, height: 2 1/8", diameter: 5 1/2". Provenance: From the Estate of William Woodford, Houston, Texas.
Condition Report Some minor dust and surface wear, one matte bowl with a small chip at rim, the three black bowls attributed as Japanese and otherwise umarked, but overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
