Description A MATCHED PAIR OF CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN HEXAGONAL HAT STANDS, each with sides enclosing quatrefoil windows and one Republic Period (1912-1949) stand, nicely enameled with paired smiling Immortals holding their respective attributes mystically floating across water atop a lily pad or curling clouds towards land, where others proceed to celebrate the Emperor's birthday, seen holding his ruyi scepter and greeting their arrival from a terrace with other Immortals, above a walled staircase with arriving celebrant clutching a lotus gift, set beneath a celestial mountain and skies filled with ethereal stylized clouds, height: 11 1/2", diameter: 4 7/8"; together with another later hat stand having sides centering an Emperor and Empress seated on a balcony, above a walled moat dotted with blossoming lotus being harvested by attendant maidens from skiffs, opposite a sacred tree filled with paired auspicious birds and floral blooms, within diapered banded top and base rims, height: 11 1/4", diameter: 5 1/4".
Condition Report Good condition with normal light surface buildup, some small spots of flaked enamel, a feint star hairline, and normal gilding wear throughout.
