Description A LOUIS XVI STYLE GILT BRONZE CARTEL CLOCK, MODERN, with a circular hinged and convex glass bezel opening to a white enamel dial enclosing blue Roman hour chapters and Arabic five minute numerals, centering pierced gilt brass hands over twin key escapements, verso brass clockworks stamped with oval "VE," and a pastille "MéDAILLE D'ARGENT / VINCENTI & CIE / 1855," numbered "2920 / 9 2," pendulum numbered "2920," set within a shaped rectangular case surmounted by a two handled and lidded urn with guilloché banding over a Vitruvian scroll frieze decorated plinth flanked by two greek key arms, above ram's head topped corner pilasters ending in pinecone pendants and draped within Nemean lion pelt swags joined by a lion mask, over a conforming pierced pendulum compartment ending on a band of guttae and a stylized acanthus detailed device, includes one winding key.
