Description A LOUIS XVI REVIVAL GILT BRONZE AND MARBLE CLOCK, CLOCKWORKS BY FRITZ MARTI, FRENCH, CIRCA 1900, the gilt brass cylindrical case centering a convex glass and beaded bronze bezel, opening to a white enamel dial with black Arabic hour numerals and quarter hour numbers, enclosing painted floral festoons and reticulated gilt metal hands above twin key escapements, verso brass clockworks with stamped pastille "?MéDAILLE D'OR? / F. Marti / PARIS 1900," numbered "346 / 6 0," suspending a pendulum with an Apollo sun mask bob, over an exterior berried laurel wreath with branches pendant and surmounted by a stylized urn with scrolling foliate stems centering a blossoming finial, flanked by columnar supports with lambrequin trimmed caps and leafy finials, raised on conforming beaded socles and a stepped base enclosing a shell with strapwork mounted frieze, elevated on beaded toupie feet. Condition Report Good condition with normal surface buildup, some tiny edge nicks, convex glass is later as is the pendulum and brass clockworks are clean. No winding key.
