MEEKS, NEW YORK, 1850-1860, laminate rosewood centering?blossoms issued from a Baroque style arched molding with recessed bead chains, jeweled feather plumes issuing acanthus furls and scrolling vines hung with plump grape clusters, the serpentine back triple tufted over a shaped seat within outwardly scrolled upholstered and padded armrests ending in out swept hand terminals, raised on cabriole legs with bellflower knees and leaf covered foot, joined by a molded front rail with wilting blooms.
