Description A "MARCEL DUCHAMP" DE LUXE EXHIBITION CATALOGUE, RONNY VAN DE VELDE, ANTWERP, 1991, this deluxe edition catalog of the "Marcel Duchamp" exhibition in Antwerpen Belgium September 15 - December 15, 1991, consists of this original wooden box with top and underside reproducing Duchamp's "mental" Chess Board, sliding open to contain the following: an exhibitions list, a black portfolio enclosing reproductions of Duchamp's works, one copy of H. Vuibert's "Les anaglyphes géométriques, Paris, Librairie Vuibert, 1912, one wax paper envelope with 3D-glasses, one page reproduction from The Blind Man No. 2 (P.B.T.); one book of articles on Duchamp written by André Breton and Arturo Schwarz (separate sheet, copy of Le Grand Verre); one black velvet cassette case with nipple cover and verso "PRIèRE D'éCOUTER," containing a recording of Marcel Duchamp speaking, and a photograph of Marcel Duchamp at age of 85, this deluxe edition is no. 399/850, includes original black paper covered cardboard protective case with shipping box. Height: 2 1/4" Width: 14 3/4" Depth: 14 3/4"? ? Provenance: Estate of David E. Brauer, Houston, Texas. Condition Report Very good condition with some breakdown of the "nipple" on cassette cover which has been noticed on other deluxe editions, some feint surface wear on box but otherwise good shape.
