A bronze handled mirror with discoid head and sub-rectangular handle with rounded end, attached with rivets; raised design to the front; reverse with outer border of shallow chevrons between concentric bands, repeated at the centre, four large, stylised stags leaping from the outer border towards the inner border between, each with long antlers; mounted on a custom-made stand. 1.1 kg total, 28.5cm including stand (11 1/4"). From a private collection; previously in an old central Asian collection; acquired in the late 1940s. Fine condition.
