Description Chinese Qing Dynasty period, Kangxi red glaze horse hoof water pot. Delicately potted with slightly rounded sides rising from footed base toward narrow opening, of a simply deep vessel, straight opening, curved side, raised on wide flat body foot base, created horse hoof porcelain. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the DouCai design color. The main body decorated with flowers blooms interspersed with fresh foliage. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite. This piece displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely exterior, glazed smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous. Mark on under base, a horizontal six underglaze script characters reign mark, Kangxi Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
