Description Fabulous, Chinese 17th Qing Dynasty Qianlong Reign Period, Blue and White grass dragon wrapped around the ears. Finely potted in a baluster shaped vase, with tall ovoid body, bulbous body, rounded shoulder concealing gracefully to a prominent straight neck, supporting the flat wide flaring opening mouth rim, two archaic dragon shaped handles flanked on the shoulder in cobalt blue underglaze, raised on round foot base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. The main body delicately be depicted with snarling archaic dragon through flaming clouds, vapor and scrolling interlocking tendril, lotus flowers blooms, banded with taotie mask and geometrically pattern. The neck adorned with same decoration, repeating key fret on the upper mouth rim enclosed with double fine blue rings lines. The foot base rim decorated with scrolling ruyi and geometrically pattern, enclosed with double fine blue rings lines. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-Shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons.
