Description Stunning, Chinese 17th C. Qing Dynasty Yongzheng Reign Period, A Superb pair iron red monochrome porcelain bowls. Deep curvature, of a shallow vessel, round straight upward to form the rim, straight wide opening rim, with a slightly round raised footing. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are masterfully covered in an even coat of a iron red glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white underglaze. The iron red glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese porcelain wares, with finest material, the redness, the glaze, the carving, and the shape. Without overlap the outlines of the design, well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct. This piece displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely exterior, glazed smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on under base, a vertical six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine rings, Yongzheng Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
