Description Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong blue & white motif porcelain squared double gourd vase. The Chinese porcelain potted in a shape of squared double gourd resemblance, with square bellies and ovoid upper bellies conjoined together, squared lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, suspending cylindrical neck, with a straight opening lip, raised on splayed foot base and slighty concave. All reserved in hand painting ornamentations, rendered in clean white under glazed ground color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. The Square and the ovoid belly decorated ripe fruit tree with foliage and flowers blooms, enclosed with thrashing wavy lishui water. The middle adorned with wanzi motief and auspicious ornament. The foot base rim and the upper mouth rim festooned interlocking key fret. Each section banded and enclosed with double fine rings. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on under base, a six under glazed blue seal script characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
